Jesus told the Jewish leaders, “Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me.” John 5:39.
The opening words of Revelation distinctly inform us that its prophecies have been given as “the Revelation of Jesus Christ.” Rev. 1:1. Interpretations of prophecies that do not find their center in Jesus as Savior and Destroyer of Evil are wrong applications of Scripture.
The Jewish scholars were masters in scriptural knowledge, yet they did not understand the prophecies. Not only were prophecies fulfilled before their eyes, but they themselves helped to fulfill them and yet were spiritually blind to their fulfillment. Why?
