Do you ever stop?

Life can sometimes seem like an endless flow of demands on our time and energy. We just keep going, day in and day out, but we long for a way to get off the treadmill. The good news is that God has already provided a way!

One of Jesus’ most wonderful promises is “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matt. 11:28–29.

This strikes a chord for many of us. While feeling our need of physical and mental rest, we may also feel a deep longing for something more. There’s an emptiness in our life that needs filling. We need to stop and draw breath. We need time out, but time
