The Ripple Effect

When we realize that a loving God is both our Creator and Redeemer, it impacts our lives in profound ways.

The topic of Creation isn’t just for science enthusiasts. It’s important for all of us. The Bible tells us that God “created all things through Jesus Christ.” Eph. 3:9, NKJV. Thinking of both God the Father and God the Son as being our Creator can deepen our appreciation of Them and enhance our life. I’d like to share two examples of that.

When I was single, I shared a house with a nurse who worked in Washington, DC. One weekend, she brought home a friend, Serena, who was struggling with her faith in a loving God.

At her request, Serena and I had a long conversation about God. I showed her Bible verses that inspired me to love Him. But none of them seemed to change her view of God as Someone harsh whom she couldn’t relate to. She finally explained that she thought of Him as
