Books such as Dress for Success taught us what’s appropriate to wear on different occasions and among a variety of people. Books like Color Me Beautiful showed us exactly which shades look best and will enhance our appearance. How we look and dress as Christians is important, but how much time is spent dressing for success in the spiritual walk of life? Many wouldn’t leave home without the right shade or style of clothes, yet they leave naked and unprepared spiritually. God has given us the key that tells us how we may dress for spiritual success. Paul says, “The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.” Rom. 13:12. In Ephesians 6:11–18, Paul specifies what the armor of God is.
