For the time being, the COVID-19 pandemic has drastically altered the way we live. Perhaps you have found yourself having to work from home or experiencing a crash course in homeschooling your children. You’re not able to attend church weekly and have instead had to resort to digital meetings for spiritual encouragement from like-minded believers. And maybe you have found yourself wondering: How do I share my faith when people are maintaining distance from one another? Can the love of Christ cross the boundaries of social isolation in ways that will encourage and uplift those around us?  

With the pandemic, countless fears and anxieties related to health, finances, and altered life routines have surfaced. Change is never comfortable or easy, particularly under these chaotic circumstances. Now more than ever, people are seeking for answers—for hope and peace. What better opportunity to share truth than at a time like this! To get you started, here are a few ideas:

• Call a friend and ask them if there’s any way in which you can pray for them or support them. Sometimes, it may be as simple as being a listening ear to someone who is feeling overwhelmed. If appropriate, share a Bible promise that has sustained you in difficult times.

• Use your social media accounts to share links for free Bible study resources.

• Pass along tips for maintaining a strong immune system that will fight illness. Jesus cares about every aspect of our lives, including our physical health. • Give a digital subscription of Last Generation magazine to someone. You can also encourage your friends to tune in to our free audio magazine articles here.

• Mail magazines to people in your area. Doing so is a great way to spread truth without having to come in contact with people. This is exactly what Jennifer* has been doing. She advertises free materials in newspapers in large cities, providing people with an opportunity to subscribe. Then, every time Last Generation prints magazines, she orders 6,000 of them and includes them in the packets she sends out to those subscribers. It has been a faith mission for her, but she has seen how God has provided for her to continue doing it.
