Mrs. Jasper (not her real name) was an impoverished widow and mother who had a problem with covetousness—well, not your normal problem with covetousness. She didn’t covet a big house, fancy clothes, or luxurious food.
You see, Sister Jasper was a devoted Christian who really wanted to do something great for God. But when appeals for funds to further the gospel were made, she had only the widow’s mite to offer. She longed to do something more!
