In 2003, the world was surprised to learn that Sir Isaac Newton, one of the most brilliant scientific minds of all times, had predicted that some point between the years 2016 and 2060, God would destroy His enemies and our earth would be “reset” to a state of universal peace. His conclusions were based on his study of Bible prophecy and detailed in writings he never published. These writings were brought to light in a BBC documentary on some of his private beliefs.1
Probably more surprising was the revelation that Newton the scientist was also a diligent student of Bible prophecy!
People from a variety of religious and philosophical perspectives believe that the world will someday experience universal peace and harmony. Like Newton, many of them long to understand when these events will take place.
Many Christians believe that universal peace will be restored on earth at Christ’s second coming
